Opportunity

  • The Yard Laborer will include but is not limited to the following duties:
    • Be able to understand and work within company safety policies and procedures.
    • Perform mowing and lawn care, painting, finish work, concrete work, cleanup, and any miscellaneous labor needs.
    • Operate forklift and organize the yard when needed.
    • Perform general office maintenance and repairs.
    • Separate and move items according to the correct locations within the yard with appropriate equipment–bobacts, forklifts, etc.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment 
 
  • This position requires individuals to constantly be on their feet except when operating machinery.
  • Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights.  
  • They must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, bend, climb and be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds regularly.  
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Experience in an industrial setting preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities

  • Ability to use basic tools.
  • Have some mechanical experience a plus.

  • Driver’s License
  • TWIC card required.

Schedule: 10 hour shift

Work Location

  • Orange, Texas (shipyard).
  • Lake Charles, Louisiana (satellite office).
  • Occasional remote work and negotiated.
  • Minimum monthly travel to project sites on the Gulf Coast with planned expansion and to professional meetings throughout the US.
